Details on uploading libraries for JDE and PeopleSoft in WebSphere Cast Iron 6.3

Preventive Service Planning

Abstract

This technote explains how to upload JDE and PeopleSoft connector libraries to the WMC

Content

In WebSphere Cast Iron V6.3.0.0, after logging into to the Web Management Console (WMC) and navigating to the "Update Connector Libraries" page, a user is presented with two connector installation options for the JDE connector and PeopleSoft connectors.

This document describes when to use each of the entries.

Below is a screen shot of what a user will be presented with when attempting to update the connector libraries.

When developing orchestrations (Configure JDE activities) for JDE connector in V6.3.0.0 Studio, before deploying the project to the appliance, log on to WMC and add the vendor libraries under the JDE label, as shown in the above screen shot.

When developing orchestrations (Configure PeopleSoft activities) for PeopleSoft connector in V6.3.0.0 Studio, before deploying the project to the appliance, log on to WMC and add the vendor libraries under the PSFT label, as shown in the above screen shot.

When deploying JDE projects created from the earlier versions (Studio V6.1.x.x and earlier) on to a V6.3.0.0 appliance, before deploying the project, log on to the WMC and add the vendor libraries under the JD Edwards label, as shown in the above screen shot.

If a Cast Iron V6.1.x.x appliance (running JDE activities) is upgraded to version 6.3.0.0, the projects will work as expected, as the libraries are already present.

Note:
When a project developed on 6.1.x.x appliance is migrated to a V6.3.0.0 appliance, an additional library file called jdbj.ini must be added to the library list.

When deploying PeopleSoft projects created from the earlier versions (V6.1.x.x and earlier) on to a Cast Iron V6.3.0.0 appliance, before deploying the project, log on to WMC and add the vendor libraries under the PeopleSoft label, as shown in the above screen shot.

If a V6.1.x.x appliance (running PeopleSoft activities) is upgraded to version 6.3.0.0, the projects will work as expected, as the libraries are already present.
