Sterling Control Center - database not purging

Problem(Abstract)

The Sterling Control Center Production Database keeps growing in size, and no records are showing in the Staging Database.

Production and Staging Database are on Microsoft SQL Server.

Symptom

Bulk Data Mover log shows errors

ERROR BulkDataMover -
            com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The ROLLBACK TRANSACTION request has no corresponding BEGIN TRANSACTION.

Cause

This has been identified as a product defect under APAR IC88733

Diagnosing the problem

Check the Sterling Control Center Console for the older record in the Production Database, and the oldest record in the Staging Database and compare to the settings for the length of time in the settings.

Resolving the problem

Apply the latest Sterling Control Center maintenance that includes the fix from APAR IC8733
