What is the maximum number of CPUs/threads that CPLEX optimizer can use?

Answer

The absolute maximum number of threads that CPLEX optimizer can use are detailed below:

12.3.0.0 and later 2100000000

You can change the number of threads CPLEX use according to this technote.

Note:

1) The maximum number of CPUs/threads is also bounded by your license agreement and the number of logical processors.

2) In CPLEX Optimization Studio 12.5, you can use more threads than the number of logical processors. Please view the details here.
