Abstract
Users of the Tivoli Storage Manager V6.3 server might be affected by the issue described in APAR IC82940.

To prevent a potential performance degradation, users of the Tivoli Storage Manager V6.3.0 or V6.3.1 server should take the following steps:
- Upgrade the server to V6.3.2 or later.
- Follow the Local fix instructions that are described in APAR IC82940.
In addition, customers who ever ran Tivoli Storage Manager V6.3.0 or V6.3.1 server should follow the Local fix instructions that are described in APAR IC82940.
By taking these steps, users can help ensure that their system is running in a supported configuration. This helps to prevent a potential server performance degradation.
Users who are running any level of the Tivoli Storage Manager V5, V6.1, or V6.2 server are not affected by APAR IC82940.
Users who were running any level of the Tivoli Storage Manager V5, V6.1, or V6.2 server, and who upgraded the server to V6.3.2 or later, are not affected by APAR IC82940.
