Troubleshooting CMBConnectFailedException of IBM Content Integrator

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

I am using a IBM Content Manager connector from IBM Content Integrator. How can I troubleshoot the error CMBConnectFailedException and com.venetica.vbr.client.LogonException?

Resolving the problem

Follow the following steps to troubleshoot this problem:

  1. Please see if you are able to log into DB2
  2. If you are able to log into DB2 successfully then check if you are able to log into CM. If you are not able to log into CM then the investigation has to focus on CM and DB2 configuration.
  3. If you are able to log into CM and DB2 using the same userid and password, then check if you are able to successfully do a test connection with a CM Connector. If you are able to successfully log into DB2 and CM but are not able to have a successful TEST CONNECTION then the problem could be in ICI configuration.
