What features are being removed in IBM Security AppScan Enterprise (ASE) 8.7?
This feature is going to be trimmed back from its previous functionality. The ability to run malware tests against the accessible files on your web server is being removed. Dedicated malware scanners installed locally on the web server are far more common and effective than a remote scanner. ASE will still be able to check for known unsafe links in your website which is the more practical use case for this feature and is not being removed.
SQL Server 2005
Support for SQL 2005 is being dropped in ASE as 8.7 will tap into new functionality in available only in SQL 2008 and 2012 which will add significant improvements to both performance and security.
