Problem(Abstract)
Unable to open a WebSphere® Transformation Extender (WTX) Type Tree using the Design Studio.
Symptom
An exception is encountered when trying to open a Type tree in a Project as follows.
org.eclipse/ui.PartInitException: failure to open
Cause
The exception is encountered as the Design Studio has problems opening the Type Tree.

Opening a Type Tree from a project.
Diagnosing the problem
An exception is encountered when trying to open a Type Tree using the Design Studio.
Resolving the problem
Clean the projects with the following steps.
1. Select 'Project' from the top menu in the Map Designer.
2. Click on 'Clean' from the drop down menu.
3. Select 'clean all projects'.
4. Click on OK.
