Modifying default interval for statistics

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Can the default interval for statistics collection and time for the end-of-day statistics be modified through any CICS supplied transaction?

Answer

You can modify the default interval for statistics.

CICS starts recording interval statistics automatically at startup, with a default interval of three hours, and an end-of-day time of 00:00. TXSeries provides the CSTD transaction to monitor and control the statistics parameters of a region. Modifying the default interval parameter and the time for end-of-day statistics of a running region can be done through option 12 of CSTD transaction.

When you choose option 12 in CSTD transaction, the current default interval and time of end-of-day statistics are displayed. The parameters can be modified after moving the cursor to corresponding position. New parameters take effect when the ENTER key is pressed after modifying values.
