Problem(Abstract)

Attempts to save IBM Rational Requirements Composer project area results in the error "Project area cannot be saved - invalid UUID".

Symptom

The log file has the following error:

Project area cannot be saved.
invalid UUID [https ://hostname:9443/jts/admin]
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException"invalid UUID"

Error Screen:

Cause

Saving the project area using Mozilla Firefox 16 or other unsupported web browser.

Resolving the problem

Use Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 or other supported Web browsers while saving project area in Rational Requirements composer 4.0.
