Problem(Abstract)
The following may be seen on a Spectralogic T120 tape library when performing operations on the Tivoli Storage Manager server:
ANR8300E OP=8401C058, CC=207, KEY=05, ASC=24, ASCQ=00
Symptom
Error message from the server activity log:
ANR8300E I/O error on library SPECTRAT120 (OP=8401C058, CC=207, KEY=05, ASC=24, ASCQ=00, SENSE= 70.00.05.00.00.00.00.0A.00.00.00.00.24.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00., Description=Device is not in a state capable of performing request).
ANR8942E Could not move volume XXXXXXXX from slot-element ## to slot-element ###.
Cause
This is caused by a problem with the Spectralogic firmware.
Resolving the problem
Upgrade library to latest firmware or contact Spectralogic for support.
