Problem(Abstract)

Clients experience download problems and Relay log (logfile.txt) has the following error:
gathermain (####) - Exception in ServiceDownloadManager::DoWork:
database disk image is malformed (SQLite error 0-11)

Symptom

Check BESRelay log for the following error: gathermain (####) - Exception in ServiceDownloadManager::DoWork: database disk image is malformed (SQLite error 0-11)


Cause

File System or disk issues can cause corruption a SQL Lite database.

Diagnosing the problem

Check BESRelay log for the following error: gathermain (####) - Exception in ServiceDownloadManager::DoWork: database disk image is malformed (SQLite error 0-11)

Resolving the problem

The following will clear the error and allow downloads to continue.
1. Stop BES Root Service
2. Browse Server file System to C:\Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES
Server\Mirror Server\Config
3. Rename the file DownloadState.db.
4. Restart the BES Root Service
5. Take a test action to download or try 'retry' on any actions stuck on 'pending download'.


*You should also resolve any file or disk issues that may have caused the corruption.
