Problem(Abstract)
ITNM UOWs fail and the orbtrc log contains CAUGHT_EXCEPTION_WHILE_CONFIGURING_SSL_CLIENT_SOCKETerrors.
Symptom
The failed UOW log contains:
(16) Operation failed with failure category [Driver]
(17) [Caused by: Could not instantiate comms driver: Failed to obtain ITNM Topology API instance: getInstance : Error trying to intantiate API for ITNMTipHost : 1.2.3.4 RMIPort : 16312 User : itnmadmin Password : ibm : The error cause is : ERROR: lookup on intitial context failed : Cause : Error getting WsnNameService properties (OperationFailedException)]
On the ITNCM server that executed the UOW, orbtrc files are generated at $INSTALL_DIR (default /opt/IBM/tivoli/netcool/ncm):

Inspecting the orbtrc file shows:

Resolving the problem
Verify that the $INSTALL_DIR/config/properties/ssl.client.props file is correct and you followed all the steps at Netcool Configuration Manager > IBM Tivoli Netcool Configuration Manager 6.3.0 > Integrating with Network Manager and Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus > Integrating the products > Preparing for device synchronization.
Ensure that the paths in the following settings are valid:
com.ibm.ssl.trustStore
com.ibm.ssl.keyStore
