Maximo Allows Changing Status on a Release PO Against Revised Contract

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Is there a reason that it's possible to change the status on a release PO against a revised contract in Maximo?

Answer

When a user tries to revise a contract, which has a document (PO) associated with it, the warning message (there is an
associated document, do you want to proceed?) pops up. The user needs to understand that in case of "proceed" the link between a new contract revision (which can be very different) and the associated document (PO) is not valid anymore. The user can cancel old PO and create a new one based on this contract revision.
