Question
You want to find out the version of the MQ Explorer.
Answer
Note: You may have several installations of the MQ Explorer, for example: MQ 7.0.1.6 or later and MQ 7.1 and/or MQ 7.5 and/or the SupportPac MS0T. For each instance of the MQ Explorer that you want to check the version, you need to perform the following:
+ For all versions:
Start the MQ Explorer GUI.
From the top Menu bar select "Help" and then "About IBM WebSphere MQ Explorer"
+ For MQ 7.0.x
You will see the following window. Click on "Feature Details"
You will see the following Window. Notice the 2 entries for:
Provider: IBM
Feature Name: WebSphere MQ Explorer Branding Plug-in
The entry with the highest version (7.0.1.9 in this example) indicates the version of the MQ Explorer.
+ MQ 7.1.x
After you select "Help" and then "About IBM WebSphere MQ Explorer", you will see the following window.
In this example, the version is: 7.1.0.1
+ MQ 7.5.x
After you select "Help" and then "About IBM WebSphere MQ Explorer", you will see the following window. In this example, the version is: 7.5.0.0
