Difference between actual weight, container gross weight and container net weight in YFS_SHIPMENT_CONTAINER
What is the difference between actual weight, container gross weight and container net weight in YFS_SHIPMENT_CONTAINER
Consider the following item and container weight configuration in Application manager:
Item weight= 0.0022 LBS
Container weight = 1 LBS
Information stored in yfs_shipment_container:
container_gross_weight = 1.0022 LBS (Container + item weight)
container_net_weight = 0.0022 (item weight)
actual weight = 0
Initially actual weight is 0 but can be set in Pack station, Weighing station and Manifest station. The actual weight will come from the weighing scale integrated.
As per the Pack station, Weighing station and Manifest station screens, it says that the computed weight is 0.0022 which is the item weight derived from the item configuration and user can set the actual weight here. Actual weight is set after the items are actually weighed and user can set this value in these screens.
Actual weight does not get set according to the item weight configured in the Application manager
As per the ERD on YFS_SHIPMENT_CONTAINER :
ACTUAL_WEIGHT: The actual weight of container.
-> This is the actual weight of container as weighed in the warehouse using weigh scale.
CONTAINER_GROSS_WEIGHT: The weight of the container, inclusive of weight of items and packing material used, if any.
-> This is computed from configured weight of items and containers.
CONTAINER_NET_WEIGHT: The weight of just the items in the container. This does not include weight of the packing material.
-> This is computed from configured weight of items
Note : Actual weight is essentially the weight measured after weighing the package. This is the weight against which the package is billed
