Error "No OAuth consumer is configured" returned when navigating to Lifecycle Project Administration in CLM

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

Users are unable to access the Lifecycle Project Administration (LPA) page in IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) which returns an error, No OAuth consumer is configured.

Symptom

After migrating from CLM 3.x to CLM 4.0, users are unable to access the Lifecycle Project Administration page which reports an error when navigating to LPA in CLM:

No OAuth consumer is configured

Cause

During the migration, the following configuration files for LPA were not copied from the old CLM 3.x location to the new CLM 4.x location:

4.0_install_dir/server/conf/admin/admin.properties

4.0_install_dir/server/conf/admin/friends.rdf

Resolving the problem

  1. Shut down the CLM 4.x server, ensure the following application configuration files are copied from V3.0.1 to V4.0 and replace the default ones.

For Lifecycle Project Administration application: [4.0_install_dir]/server/conf/admin/admin.properties
For Lifecycle Project Administration application: [4.0_install_dir]/server/conf/admin/friends.rdf
  2. Restart CLM 4.x server. Users should then be able to access the Lifecycle Project Administration page without any error.
