Problem(Abstract)
On Windows, when installing the IBM Tivoli Directory Server V6.3 that is bundled with IBM Security Access Manager 7.0, an error message might be displayed during the configuration of the default database instance. The message says that "db2setres.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." This problem is most likely related to DB2 9.7 APAR IC74739.
Cause
Close the error pop-up window, and allow the configuration to complete.
When the instance creation tool launches at the end of the installation, verify that you see the dsrdbm01 instance listed, and verify that you can start this instance.
If the instance is not listed in the tool, create the default instance using the tool.
If problems persist, install DB2 9.7 fix pack 7 or later before continuing.
