Updating the SAP NetWeaver to Support Standard Account Attributes

Question

The current SAP NetWeaver Adapter is configured to manage a subset of the standard account attributes available with SAP. There might be requirements by sites to support some of the attributes not currently managed.

Answer

The adapter profile and xls files can be modified to support the standard attributes that are not managed by the adapter. This capability started with SAP NetWeaver Adapter version 5.1.7 (might work with earlier versions).

Attached is a document that provides the steps necessary to customize the profile and xls files to manage the "floor" attribute which is not managed by the adapter out of the box.


Note - this document will only allow for the support of standard SAP account attributes that can be accessed via the following BAPIs -
    BAPI_USER_CREATE
    BAPI_USER_CHANGE
    BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL

Advanced or extended attributes are a totally different issue and may require the creation of custom ABAP code.
