Problem
When clicking on the sent view, the message recall button is missing.
Symptom
Message recall is enabled in the configuration settings document and the mail settings document is set to allow user's to recall sent messages.

Cause
In this case the customer had a customized mail file in which the 'message recall' button was removed.
Environment
Domino R8.5.x and 8.0.2
Resolving the problem
The solution was to remove the check mark to Prohibit design refresh or replace to modify.
