Update ObjectServer connections details use by WebGUI

Technote (FAQ)

Question

You are using the ObjectServer as user repository and have changed the password of the user that WebGUI uses.

Answer

WebGUI 7.3.0

There are 3 main areas that need to be verified:

1. TIPHOME/profiles/TIPProfile/config/cells/TIPCell/wim/config/wimconfig.xml

The password is encrypted, so you cannot really verify it. We just overwrite the connection details.

- backup wimconfig.xml

cp TIPHOME/profiles/TIPProfile/config/cells/TIPCell/wim/config/wimconfig.xml

TIPHOME/profiles/TIPProfile/config/cells/TIPCell/wim/config/wimconfig.xml.backup

- use confvmm4ncos to modify wimconfig.xml

cd TIPHOME/bin

./confvmm4ncos.sh
Not enough arguments
Usage:
confvmm4ncos.sh username password host1 port1 [ host2 port2 ]
Examples:
confvmm4ncos.sh root 10.50.100.200 4100
confvmm4ncos.sh root pass server1.domain.com 4101 server2.domain.com 4102

Try:

./confvmm4ncos.sh theusername thepassword host1 port1

2. TIPHOME/profiles/TIPProfile/etc/webtop/datasources/ncwDataSourceDefinitions.xml

Look for the ncwDataSourceCredentials tag. Ensure the the values of userName and password are valid.

3. TIPHOME/products/ncw/waapi/etc/waapi.init

Look for the waapi.user and waapi.password properties. Ensure the values are valid.

Restart TIP.
