Deployment duration recognition.

Technote (FAQ)

Question

How to recognize the real duration of a deployment?

Answer

About the REAL duration of a deployment.
There are two ways to understand the real duration of a deployment:
- considering start date and end date in the bomXXX.ini
- considering the date of the first and of the last line traced in the bomXXX.trc.

But, there is an important point.
While the bomXXX.ini is written all by the server, so the start and the
end date are consistent and taken with the same timezone,
in the bomXXX.trc there could be reported not consistent dates since
that file is written on the target where several OSs can be booted along
the deployment, each one with different time zone setting, and also that
setting can change from a boot to another boot.

To double check this, please check what is the timezone of the target
after the deployments and/or of the domain controller.

To summarize, the correct information for a duration of a deployment is
the one you can calculate with start and end time in the bom.ini
