To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases --- DB Error: 0x80040e14" "ScanDirector" ""
There is not enough disk space on the machine running the SQL database server.
Diagnosing the problem
The disk space usage is proportional to the following attributes:
- number of jobs
- size of the jobs
- number of jobs running at the same time
Resolving the problem
Make sure you have plenty of disk space on the machine running the SQL database server. You may do one of the following:
- Add disk space
- Delete old jobs (after deleting jobs you will need to "shrink" the database in order to reclaim the space)
