DESCRIPTION
=====================================================================

This patch contains a roll up of the currently available patches for IBM Security Virtual Server Protection for VMware 1.1 plus new content.

Details
--------

This patch enhances the security of the virtual machine observer portion of the product. This patch also resolves an issue with LMI errors and Anti-rootkit IM message log issues caused by incorrect handling of guest names containing non-ANSI characters. In addition, this patch contains code fixes for an interruption in Anti-rootkit functionality when pausing and resuming a protected virtual machine.

IBM Security Virtual Server Protection for VMware 1.1


APPLYING THE UPDATE
=====================================================================
To apply the update: (all steps performed with root permissions)

1. Unzip the 1.1.0.0-ISS-VSP-FP001.zip file.

2. Copy the file 1.1.0.0-ISS-VSP-FP001.sh that was extracted from step 1 to the IBM Security Virtual Server Protection for VMware machine's /root directory.

3. From the /root directory, run: sh 1.1.0.0-ISS-VSP-FP001.sh
e.g. `sh 1.1.0.0-ISS-VSP-FP001.sh`

4. Wait for the patch to finish installing.
