IBM Content Manager does not support separate DB2 installations on the same server.

Technote (FAQ)

Question

If I install the library server and resource manager into unique DB home directories (i.e. separate DB2 installations) when installing\configuring the databases for the library server and resource manager, is this a supported configuration?

Answer

IBM Content Manager does not support multiple DB2 installations on the same server.

As documented in the info centre, the library server and the resource manager database can share the same DB2 instance or they can use different DB2 instances, but multiple DB2 installations on the same server are not supported.
