Technote (troubleshooting)
Problem(Abstract)
A CWLLG0097E error message is seen looping in the Process Server log files after connecting a Process Server to a Process Center.
Symptom
The following message is seen:
CWLLG0097E: An exception was received while trying to send heartbeat. Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Arguments to addParameter(String, String) cannot be null
Cause
This message is caused by an invalid authentication alias that is set in the configuration settings.
<repository-server-user-auth-alias>
<repository-server-designated-user-auth-alias>
Resolving the problem
The Customizing the settings used by Process Server to connect to Process Center document in the IBM Business Process Manager Information Center describes how to change the settings for a Process Server to connect to a Process Center.
If the authentication alias does not contain the proper users or is set incorrectly, then you will have errors each time the heartbeat is run.
To correct the issue, ensure that the correct authentication alias is used and it has the proper user associated with it. Complete the following steps to locate the Authentication aliases in the Administrative Console:
- Click Security > Global Security
- Expand Java Authentication and Authorization Service and select J2C authentication data.
These steps result in a list of the existing Authentication aliases and their associated users. Ensure that you are using the full name that is listed for the alias in the console without any typographical errors..
Note: If you are creating a new authentication alias, then the cell name is appended to the alias name by default.
