Extraneous screen reader text exists when using Process Portal for IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)

Problem(Abstract)

If you are using Process Portal with a screen reader, such as JAWS, extraneous text might be read when you hover over an IBM Connections pop-up message.

Symptom

If your Process Portal environment has IBM Connections enabled, the following extraneous text might be read:

  • On the @Mentions and Details tabs: "Link java script colon void left paren  0 right paren semi-colon click here or press control enter to view business card."
  • On the Experts and Stream tab: "Link click here or press control enter to view business card"


Cause

This extraneous text is caused by inconsistencies in the JAWS screen reader.

Resolving the problem

This problem has no current solution. Ignore the extraneous text.
