FTP Client List service, sending a List command, to ignore replies of '450 no files found' or '550 no files found', so the BP ends successfully instead of ending in error.

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

Requesting FTP Client List service, sending a List command, to ignore replies of '450 no files found' or '550 no files found', so the BP ends successfully instead of ending in error.

Symptom

If the file to be searched per the List command does not exist on the remote FTP server, the server will return a 550 or 450 reply code and that will cause the BP to fail.

Cause

This has been identified as a product defect under APAR IC87001

Diagnosing the problem

Requesting FTP Client List service, sending a List command, to ignore replies of '450 no files found' or '550 no files found', so the BP ends successfully instead of ending in error. Just because the remote FTP server has no files to list, this should not cause the BP to fail, the BP should move forward to the next service.

Resolving the problem

This has been identified as a product defect under APAR IC87001. Look for fix to be included in future B2B Sterling Integrator 5.1 release.
