Problem(Abstract)
Datastore connection is lost when trying to create a new subscription from AS/400 to Oracle.
Datastore Connection Lost
The connection to datastore ABC has been terminated. Any outstanding changes for the datastore or its subscriptions have been lost.
Check if the datastore is still running and reconnect to the datastore in order to reestablish this connection.
Monitor agent connection (host: <hostname> port: <port number>) lost
Symptom
Error in Job Log:
Message . . . . : An error occurred during target database user name encryption. The encrypted length is 0
Recovery. . . . : Please try restarting replication.
Cause
Username and/or password exceeds maximum limit
Resolving the problem
The upper limit for the target database user name and password is 15 characters.
Shorten both to a maximum value of 15 and try creating the subscription again.
