When submitting a defect with the IBM Rational ClearQuest integration, the pop-up form is blank or has the message "This content cannot be displayed in a frame."
You are using the IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) or IBM Rational Quality Manager (RQM) integration with Rational ClearQuest (CQ). When you submit a defect, instead of seeing the "Create Defect" submission form pop up, you get a blank page in Mozilla Firefox or the message "This content cannot be displayed in a frame" in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
There is a link: "Open this content in a new window". Clicking on that link brings up the CQ record form in a new window. Though the CQ record can be saved, you do not get a link in RQM and there are no back links created in CQ.
A new security feature in ClearQuest Web prevents cross-frame scripting attacks. See technote 1588252 for details about this change.
The integration with ClearQuest V184.108.40.206 or higher or V220.127.116.11 or higher, with a mixture of HTTP and HTTPS technology across the hosts. Affected browers are Firefox and at least version 8 of Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer 7 does not display the issue.
Resolving the problem
Technote 1587046, which is referenced in technote 1588252, explains how to disable this feature.
