Technote (FAQ)
Question
ITSMS SYSBACK has several switches that are useable and selected in SMIT, but no documentation exists for them.
Cause
The following switches are present in the product, not listed as undocumented on purpose, and should be listed in the SYSBACK manual:
SYSBACK:
-W Backup Encrypted Files (AIX 6.1+ only) yes if switch supplied
-k needs to be updated to include the '64' flag
-u Backup extended attributes (AIX 5.3+ only)
-q Ignore Invalid Backup Objects
-v Report output type: verbose/filelist
-jR $1 backup from a previously created LV snapshot. the $1 is the mounted location of the snapshot; generally this option is only used with the smit created script for snapshot backups.
mksbcd:
-Q <ramfs_size_in_mb> change the initial RM FS size
Answer
A documentation APAR will be opened to correct the omission.
