The N1001 model family is an update to the IBM Netezza 1000 model family, with the same architectural and interface specifications. Part numbers did not change with this announcement. A major software update to the Netezza Platform Software version 7.0 is included in this announcement and existing customers are entitled to the new NPS 7.0 software free of charge.
This change affects the Netezza 1000 (TwinFin) appliance. To access support on the Netezza 1000 appliance, customers will now use the new PureData System for Analytics N1001 naming convention. The following chart will guide you in selecting the appropriate product from the Service Request Tool or for requesting support via 1-800-IBM-SERV:
