Question

Where do you find the NzPortal download and instructions for the install?

Answer


To download Netezza software, go to IBM Fix Central
http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral.

Here are the steps to acquire the nzPortal software:

1. From main "Fix Central" page:

    Using the "Select Product" tab, select the Product Group: Information Management
    Select from the Information Management dropdown: IBM Netezza Applications
    Select PERFPORTAL_1.0.2 (or the latest) from the Installed Version dropdown
    Select the appropriate platform from the Platform dropdown
    Click Continue
2. From the "Identify fixes" page:
    Select the "Browse for fixes" radio button
    Click Continue
3. From the "Select fixes" page:
    Select the checkbox next to the nzPortal package
    Click Continue
4. Click on the tar file (e.g. nz-portal-v1.0.2.p1.tar.gz) and download it; put it on your Netezza system, preferably in the /tmp directory.

You can then follow the directions in the "IBM Netezza Performance Portal User's Guide", included in the kit you downloaded.

Note: If you intend to install BOTH WebAdmin and NzPortal on the same system, you should install WebAdmin first.
