IBM Support

FAP: Permissions on top level not transferred to TM1

Troubleshooting

Problem

Customer recently created a new consolidation structure, for which they created the appropriate access in Controller (company security groups). After an Initial Publish in FAP, the permissions on leaf level exist in the cube, but are missing on the top level, so that the TM1 users can drilldown neither the new structure nor all other structures. The user gets a TM1 access warning.

Symptom

TM1 Warning
You have requested the display of a subset/dimension which contains elements to which you do not have read access privileges. Those elements have been removed from this display'
OK

Cause

Code production problem (APAR PM73119) in Controller 10.1.x

Resolving The Problem

Fix:

Upgrade to Controller 10.1.2155 or later.

Workaround

Create access rights for the top level manually in TM1 cube, preferably with a script (they will be overwritten after each initial publish).
