Question

Why do I see "BMXAA3556E.." after adding parameters to a BIRT report in Report Administration application?

Answer

After adding parameters to a report, via Report Administration application in Maximo, and previewing it, "BMXAA3556E - null is a required field." is displayed. Thus preventing data filtering on a given report.

This issue was identified in Maximo v7.1.1.6 and fixed in v7.1.1.11. This issue does affect clients on Maximo v7.1.1.5. This is also applicable to Maximo v7.5.01, and v7.5.02, but fixed in Base Services v7.5.0.3.

To resolve this, please request fix for issue#12-11125/apar#IV16447 for the applicable version of Maximo. To obtain a fix, please open a ticket/PMR with IBM Maximo Support and provide your exact environment information when making this request.
