CICS Transaction Server for VSE/ESA V1.1.1 APAR PM61296 enhances EXEC CICS ASKTIME ABSTIME to return the full number of milliseconds and not round the result to the nearest hundredth of a second, that is, the last digit was always 0. This APAR ensures that the result will always be in units of one thousandth of a second, that is, the last digit will be a value in the range 0 to 9.
Apply PTF UK82547 for CICS TS for VSE/ESA V1.1.1 APAR PM61296 to use this new functionality.
Note that the current operation of EXEC CICS FORMATTIME is unchanged.
Section 1.18 ASKTIME in the CICS Application Programming Reference (SC33-1658-04) should now describe the new behavior of the ASKTIME command:
specifies the data area for the time, in packed decimal, since 00:00 on 1 January 1900 (in
milliseconds rounded down to the nearest thousandth of a second).
