Limitation on user names when adding IBM eDiscovery Analyzer helper servers

If an IBM® eDiscovery Analyzer helper server is added to the eDiscovery Analyzer master server and the administrator users are different, the helper server can produce a fatal error when indexing is started. This can happen even if the helper server test connection has succeeded.

Diagnosing the problem

The eDiscovery Analyzer administrator for both the master and helper servers must be the same.
The system administrator must determine a single administrator user.

Resolving the problem

To change the administrator user on a server:
  1. Delete the <eDA install directory>/config/ral/common/ file in the eDA install directory
  2. Restart the eDiscovery Analyzer server
  3. Re-register the administrator users using the administrator's user name
