Problems have been identified with Firefox ESR 10 and up when used with Cognos BI. Packages will not load when you use Report Studio and errors are issued when you use the PowerPlay tab in Cognos Administration.
Problems with Firefox 10 and Cognos BI have been addressed in the latest version, 10.2, released September of 2012. These Firefox ESR 10 issues have also been identified and resolved in earlier versions:
- Cognos BI 10.1.1 - Fix pack 1 includes the necessary fixes
- Cognos BI 10.1 - An interim fix is available on Fix Central
Two APARs have been logged for this issue:
- PM56376 - Packages Won't Load in Report Studio When Using Firefox 9 in IBM Cognos 10.1.1
- PM64170 - HAL errors when opening the PowerPlay tab in Cognos Administration with Firefox 10.0.1 or above
