Error related to BUX services while starting up Cognos

Technote (troubleshooting)


When Cognos 10.1.1 is deployed to JBOSS 4.2.3, users are unable to launch Business Insight.  
There is an error on the startup of Connos Services
ERROR [STDERR] Caused by:
FileNotFoundException: /opt/Cognos/c10_64/dropins/
When trying to access Business Insight on the web, you are presented wit a red "x"


This is a bug in JBoss

Resolving the problem

Update JBoss to 5.1.0, or, perform the steps to remove the FileURLConnection.class and Handler.class objects from the jboss-common.jar, identified at:
