Question
How can we determine status of AOS-server if we get a message "no server found"?
Answer
1. ping aos.us.ihost.com and verify it is running. IP-address is 72.15.208.234
if active
2. open a browser and verify access to AOS-Admin-portal
https://aos.us.ihost.com/AssistOnSiteAdmin/index.jsp
if you are able to login - server is active and accessible
3. verify configuration on AOS-console by clicking Gears in right-hand corner and verify entry for
Server Hosts: should be either aos.us.ihost.com or the IP-address.
NOTE: if you are able to login at the console, and get the connection code. However; the customer is
still not able to access www.ibm.com/support/AssistOnSite - the problem could be in the www.ibm.com sites. If that is the case, to proceed with AOS-session, see Knowledge item

Here you will find the link for customer's to download ibmaos.exe
They can run the binary and will get a prompt for the connection, similar to procedure when accessing the website.
