Configured DC not showing in the ITCAM MS

Problem(Abstract)

After configuring the data collector it doesn't connect to the ITCAM managing server.

Symptom

## Using kernel.codebase for RMI file downloading
java.io.IOException: EDC5111I Permission denied. (errno2=0x5B450002)
at java.io.File.checkAndCreate(File.java:1380)
at java.io.File.createTempFile(File.java:1468)
at java.io.File.createTempFile(File.java:1504)


Cause

The WebSphere App Server could not write to the /tmp directory

Diagnosing the problem

Look for these RACF errors in the SYSLOG

Resolving the problem

Ensure the App Server can write to the tmp directory. In this case the user had modified the WebSphere TMPDIR to another location that the App Server didn't have permissions to.
