Granting access to Maximo Spatial Asset Management options

Prerequisite:

Maximo for Oil and Gas and Maximo Spatial Asset Management must be installed. Additionally, the <extendpresentation> elements and the comment tags (<!-- and -->)) from each element must be uncommented in the product XML for Maximo for Oil and Gas (oilandgas.xml).

Procedure:

1. Log in to Maximo Asset Management, and access the Security > Security Groups application.

2. In the Find field, type the MAXADMIN user group. The Group tab displays along with the group information.

3. Click the Applications tab.

4. Filter on the Assets (Oil) application and grant access for the following options:

• Master Work Order And One Work Order for Each Record
• Service Request With All Records
• Spatial Edit Tool
• Spatial Link Tool
• Work Order for Each Record
• Work Order for All Records

5. Save the record.

6. Filter on the Locations (Oil) application and grant access for the following options:

• Master Work Order And One Work Order for Each Record
• Service Request With All Records
• Spatial Edit Tool
• Spatial Link Tool
• Work Order for Each Record
• Work Order for All Records

7. Save the record.

8. Filter on the Service Requests (Oil) application and grant access for the following options:

• Auto-Create SR (Spatial)
• Spatial Edit Tool
• Spatial Link Tool

9. Save the record.

10. Filter on the Work Order Tracking (Oil) application and grant access for the following options:

• Auto-Create WO (Spatial)
• Spatial Edit Tool
• Spatial Link Tool

11. Save the record.

12. Sign out and log back in to Maximo Asset Management. The Maximo Spatial Asset Management options should display for the Assets (Oil), Locations (Oil) , Service Requests (Oil) , and Work Order Tracking (Oil) applications.
