GIFSGATE command has new parm (OUTCCSID) called Stream File Code Page, that defaults to *STMF, the default on this parameter should be *STDA (for STDASCII) - Sterling Gentran:Server for iSeries

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Data is put on the IFS using GIFSGATE and it is in garbled format.

Cause

A new parameter was added to the GIFSGATE command called OUTCCSID that defaults to *STMF, however the default should be *STDA because it is writing to the IFS which is an ASCII format

Answer

Change the default on the GIFSGATE command using CHGCMD for the OUTCCSID parameter to be *STDA rather than *STMF or in your CL, add the parameter OUTCCSID(*STDA).
