The Administration Explorer and Data Source Explorer from Data Studio 3.1.1 displays the incorrect database version. When connecting to DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Version 10.1 FP1, the database information is incorrectly displayed as (DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows V9.1).
Symptoms include missing functionality and missing features in the Administration Explorer and Data Source Explorer.
The Admin Explorer and Data Source Explorer incorrectly displays a DB2 V10.1 database version as DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows V9.1
Many behavior and catalog changes were made from DB2 V9.1 to DB2 V10.1 FP1. Items were renamed, moved and removed. Because the database is incorrectly displayed as V9.1, Data Studio checks for information in places where it would be, if the database were V9.1. But of course it is actually DB2 V10.1 FP1 or later. So there might be possible problems when loading objects from the database catalog in the form of missing information, failures or errors. Another example would be delta ddl and generate ddl. They would be based on V9.1. objects, which is incorrect.
During the database connection establishment, Data Studio 3.1.1 fails to properly classify the correct database version. When that happens, Data Studio falsely thinks that it is a DB2 V9.1 connection.
All users of Data Studio 3.1.1 connecting to a database on
