Problem(Abstract)
When creating UNB envelope for a response CONTRL the UNB07 is not taking into account what the partner settings are for the envelope. The process changed midway after the product release.
Cause
This has been identified as a product defect under APAR PM70951
Resolving the problem
Fix patch is supplied for v6.6.6 & v6.5.31 & v6.4 compiled on 8/20/2012
PROGRAM EBDI001 - INBOUND EDITOR
Previous to the March 8, 2011 version of EBDI001, the UNB07 FIELD on CONTRL messages was always blank when 'USE CNTL FOR ACKS' was set. After that date a change resulted in "CONTRL" ALWAYS being present in the envelope element.
A NEW parameter has been created in EBDI001
"USE CONTRL FOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT UNB07"
When 'USE CONTRL FOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT UNB07' is present in the SYS030 parms for EBDI001, the UNB07 WILL be populated with CONTRL
When 'USE CONTRL FOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT UNB07' is not present in the SYS030 parms for EBDI001, the UNB07 be blank, not present.
