Testfix required for Rational Team Concert 3.0.14 Change and Configuration Management (CCM) application when used with Rational Build Forge Agent builds and Build Agent authentication override

After upgrading to IBM Rational Team Concert 3.0.1.4 for the CCM application, build agent authentication fails if using a user id that overrides the default build user id.

For a build, the build agent authentication override is found in the build request window:

The test connection in the build engine description will fail with the message:

Message: Socket created successfully.
AUTH Unable to set user account to *AuthIllegal ("[userid]")
Authentication Failed.

In z/OS logs, this error can be found:

PASS PHRASE IS NOT VALID

This defect affects almost all Enterprise Extension builds such as Dependency, Ant with Enterprise Extensions, Command Line, and IBM i Build Specification builds if using with the build agent authentication override.

The build authentication failure occurs only when the override feature is used. The testfix is not necessary if this feature is not used.

Solution:

If IBM Rational Team Concert CCM application and the Build Toolkit version 3.0.1.4 are installed and build authentication override is used, Testfix 227297 is required for the server side.
