Problem
Unable to silently uninstall IBM Connections 3.0.1.1 to revert back to version 3.0.1.
Symptom
Error while executing the rollback as documented with the command:
./IBMIM --launcher.ini silent-install.ini -input <Connections_Root>/LC_rollback_linux.rsp
-log ./rollback.log
Rolling back a fix pack in silent mode
Cannot roll back to package com.ibm.lotus.connections version
3.0.1.0_20110330_1535 because it is not installed
Cause
An incorrect response file (lc_rollback.rsp or lc_rollback_linux.rsp) has been packaged with IBM Connections 3.0.1.1 that will prevent a successful rollback of the fixpack.
Environment
IBM Connections 3.0.1.1
Resolving the problem
Manually edit the response file to use the appropriate syntax and build number.
Re-run the rollback process using this updated response file.
Attached is a sample rollback file for Windows.
To customize for use in an environment, edit the location to reflect the IBM Connections
install root and update the encoded password as documented.
To use in a Linux deployment, rename this file to LC_rollack_linux.rsp.
