Problem applying WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit V126.96.36.199 interim fixes by using IBM Installation Manager V1.5.0 or later.
When you use IBM Installation Manager version 1.5.0 or later to apply the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit V188.8.131.52 (Fix Pack 2) interim fixes, the installation fails with the following error message:
Exception caught while evaluating expression in bundle "com.ibm.wmb.tools.prereq.check"
The installation log file lists the following exception:
Resolving the problem
This problem is fixed in WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit V184.108.40.206 (Fix Pack 3).
If you do not want to upgrade to WebSphere Message Broker V220.127.116.11 and you want to apply the WebSphere Message Broker V18.104.22.168 interim fixes instead, complete the following steps:
1. Download the attached Java archive file (JAR), com.ibm.wmb.tools.prereq.check_22.214.171.12410307.jar.
2. Replace the JAR file in the IBM Installation Manager <Agent data location>\bundles\plugins directory. For example:
On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM\Installation Manager On Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008: C:\ProgramData\IBM\Installation Manager
The default directory of the Installation Manager agent data location is determined by your operating system. For more information about the IBM Installation Manager agent data location, see IBM Installation Manager Information Center.
3. Restart the Installation Manager and complete your WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit upgrade.
