A low risk security vulnerability in the "Web Gateway" component of IBM WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition and WebSphere MQ - Managed File Transfer may be susceptible to a Cross Site Request Forgery attack.

When using the web gateway, an authenticated user could visit a web page which contains malicious code that could reuse the user's authentication to the web gateway to perform actions for which that user is authorized.

Version 7.0.4 and all previous versions of WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition running on all platforms are affected. Version 7.5 of WebSphere MQ - Managed File Transfer running on all platforms is also affected by this vulnerability.
REMEDIATION: The recommended solution is, for users of the web gateway in the affected products, to apply the fix for each named product as soon as practical. Please see below for information on the fixes available.

- Contact IBM Technical Support requesting an interim fix for APAR IC85516. Note that older releases of WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition will first need to be upgraded to 7.0.4 or later.

- Do not use the web gateway component.
