Show the Displayname of the Numeric Personid

Troubleshooting


Problem

Many customers use numeric values for their Personid. This makes it difficult to identify the Lead person or the Supervisor on the work order.

Resolving The Problem

You will need to add a multipart text box field and create a relationship as follows:

1. Go to Database Configuration,
Object =WORKORDER
2. On Relationship tab, insert the following
Relationship =LEADPERSON
Where clause = personid=:lead
Save
3. In application Designer Open WOTRACK
Add a Mulitpart Text Box
Label: Lead
Attribute: LEAD
Menu Type : NORMAL
Go to Application: PERSON
Attribute for Part 2: LEADPERSON.DISPLAYNAME
Input Mode for Part 2 READ ONLY

Repeat the steps for the Supervisor field if that name is needed for display as well. The Display name will now appear next to the numeric Person record.
