How to delete a port from a component diagram

If you right click a port on a component diagram, the Delete from Diagram context menu entry is inactive.

It is not clear how you can delete the port from the component diagram without also deleting it from the model.

SOLUTION

1. Select the component on which the port appears
   
   
2. Clear the component's Properties > Appearance > White box check box (The White box property appears at the bottom of the tab. By default, it is active.)
   
   
3. Save the changes
   
   
4. Right click on the port on the component diagram
   
   
   Result: The Delete from Diagram entry now appears on the port's context menu.
